For 20 years, Syracuse University’s Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) has proudly supported the recruitment, persistence, and advancement of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Led by women faculty and professional staff, WiSE serves a total of 17 STEM departments at the University. Our diverse programming and events offer women in STEM a wide variety of networking and learning opportunities, as well as support, encouragement, and inspiration. Through research-based strategies and an active community of mentors and peers, we help women students and faculty achieve their professional goals.

Info Sessions: STEM Early Career Development Grant Application
Are you a STEM student looking for fellowship opportunities? Or a postdoc interested in applying for an early career development grant? WiSE, in collaboration with the Office of Research, is here to help with this two-part, online program.

Workshop: Scientific Writing
WiSE, with the Graduate School Organization, is once again offering this popular workshop with Dr. Elizabeth Paley. The session (conducted over two afternoons online) will be full of helpful tips and strategies to polish participants’ written works.

Informal Meetups/Discussion: WiSE Postdocs
WiSE Postdocs meet up to discuss today’s changes and challenges, and share tips, advice, and available resources. This is a welcoming space where participants can talk and support one another.

Meetings: WiSE Postdocs Writing Group
WiSE Postdocs come together online to discuss writing strategies and resources. Participants review each other’s work, and provide valuable feedback and support.
